About this policy

Galactic Hosting is a registered business name operated by Peter Benjamin Charlton, sole trader, ABN 91 635 830 529, in New South Wales, Australia. In this policy, “Galactic Hosting”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Peter Benjamin Charlton trading as Galactic Hosting, ABN 91 635 830 529.

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to your use of Galactic+, its hosting panel, bot servers, network, and related Galactic Hosting systems. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Security threats and harmful code

You must not use Galactic+ to create, host, store, distribute, coordinate, operate, or facilitate:

• malware, ransomware, viruses, botnets, destructive code, or other malicious software;
• stolen code, malicious code, or code obtained or distributed without the necessary rights;
• credential or token theft, credential stuffing, phishing, account takeover, or deceptive impersonation;
• distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, DDoS tools, traffic amplification, intrusion, or attacks on systems or networks; or
• attempts to probe, scan, compromise, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to Galactic Hosting systems, another customer, a provider, or any third party.

Messaging and harmful conduct

You must not use Galactic+ for:

• spam, unsolicited mass messaging, abusive bulk messaging, or deceptive communications;
• harassment, threats, intimidation, targeted abuse, or conduct intended to harm another person or community;
• illegal content or activity, or activity that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• scraping or automation that violates applicable law, Discord's rules, or another applicable third-party rule;
• evading a platform ban, service suspension, access control, or other lawful restriction; or
• any use that violates Discord's terms, policies, developer requirements, or applicable law.

Platform and resource abuse

You must not:

• mine cryptocurrency or run other unauthorised or abusive compute workloads;
• operate an unauthorised proxy, VPN service, relay, tunnel, traffic-resale service, or similar network service;
• intentionally exhaust or waste CPU, RAM, disk, network capacity, allocations, rate limits, or other shared resources;
• circumvent or attempt to evade resource limits, billing controls, rate limits, security controls, or technical restrictions;
• abuse Galactic Hosting infrastructure, the hosting panel, provisioning systems, APIs, or support channels; or
• use the service in a way that materially degrades its security, stability, availability, or performance for others.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the bot code, dependencies, configuration, commands, content, and data you host or process through Galactic+. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for them and ensure they comply with this policy, Discord's rules, third-party requirements, and applicable law.

Keep bot tokens and credentials secure, configure Discord permissions conservatively, maintain your code and dependencies, and promptly address a suspected compromise. Do not put secrets in support messages or public logs. You must not help another person bypass this policy.

Enforcement and investigations

Galactic Hosting may investigate suspected abuse and may restrict, isolate, suspend, or terminate an affected account, bot server, workload, or other access where reasonably necessary to protect customers, Discord communities, third parties, providers, or Galactic Hosting infrastructure; prevent or respond to unlawful conduct; enforce this policy or the Terms of Service; or comply with applicable law.

We aim to make enforcement proportionate to the nature, severity, urgency, and recurrence of the issue where practical. Serious, unlawful, dangerous, or ongoing activity may require immediate action without advance notice. Less serious issues may be addressed through a warning, investigation, temporary restriction, or request to correct the problem where appropriate.

Galactic Hosting may preserve relevant records and cooperate with lawful requests where required. We do not state that every suspected breach will automatically be reported to law enforcement. Mandatory rights and remedies remain unaffected.
